Greater Atlanta Prep is a tuition-free, all-boys charter school serving 6th–12th grades — built to develop boys into men of character, leadership, and resilience. We're raising the foundation now to open our doors in August 2027.
At a national level, U.S. reading and math scores have dropped to their lowest levels in decades — with scores from boys decreasing the most. Young men from marginalized communities are being disproportionately affected.
The decline in academic performance aligns with a sharp decrease in college enrollment among young men over the last twenty years. Behind every percentage point is a young man whose future has narrowed.
Many young men in Fulton County are struggling to earn high school diplomas, build strong friendships, and achieve independence — often living with their parents into their late 20s and 30s. The cost of inaction is a generation of unrealized potential.

Three pillars hold up everything we do — together they form a complete blueprint for shaping young men ready to lead in school, in their communities, and throughout life.
We graduate well-rounded leaders. Integrity, discipline, and brotherhood are non-negotiable — taught explicitly, reinforced daily, and modeled by mentors who know each boy by name.
A college-preparatory curriculum from day one — paired with targeted academic, social-emotional, and personal-health support so every student is met where he is and pushed to where he can go.
Real-world stakes, real partnerships. We develop leadership through community organizations, civic experiences, and athletics — building grit through challenge, not lecture.
We measure ourselves against one number, applied to every metric that matters. Not 80%. Not "most of our students." All of them.
Five non-negotiables that shape how we hire, how we teach, and how we run the building day in, day out.
Loop teachers and advisors who follow students across grade bands so no boy gets lost in a transition. Mentorship is structural, not optional.
One curriculum, one bar, one expectation. We don't track students into ceilings — we build scaffolding under the same high standard.
Our students will read the world and find their place in it. Civic literacy and authentic leadership opportunities are part of the design.
Excellence and joy are not in tension. We invest deeply in the adults so they can show up fully for the boys we serve.
Reading and writing are the chassis of every subject. Math, science, history — every teacher is a literacy teacher.
Our founding board pairs decades of education leadership with senior expertise across finance, real estate, marketing, and operations — the cross-disciplinary firepower a startup school needs.

Early funding is the most catalytic dollar in any school's lifecycle. We're in pre-launch — the moment when modest capital unlocks the charter, the talent, and the facility that will serve thousands of boys over decades.
Early funding covers the charter application process, legal expenses, and grant writing. Without this, the school doesn't get approved — full stop.
Contributions establish an interim facility and support core leadership — including the Executive Director — so we can recruit, plan, and build credibility ahead of opening.
Donations build the foundational infrastructure: governance, accounting, family outreach, and the back-office we'll lean on every day from year one onward.
All contributions to Friends of Greater Atlanta Prep, Inc. are fully tax-deductible. We are an approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Whatever capacity you have — capital, network, time, voice — there's a meaningful way to help launch this school.
